hey, you are back from the wedding? did you have a good time this weekend???

and yes...the CAF is working out quite well. I thought I might have liked the PPF better, but now that the CAF is here, I think it was the correct choice! thanks again for hooking me up with it! 8)

yup got back late last night. im wiped out though haha.

having had both the PPF and the CAF I think you've got the right one, though i couldn't tell you not to try the PPF too sometime. They both rock but the CAF is just the absolute fire

today has been a GOOD day....learning more abou tthe CAF, and got that "upper octave fuzz" thing dialed in just right....

and the DRD lived up to my expectations. I am having a ball with it today, trying various stacks, settings, and so forth. it sounds GOOD. possibly the best high gain distortion pedal I have ever heard in my life.

Tonight was a very important gig for me with my trio, and it was the first gig with DRD and CAF -- EGD is still not here yet......

DRD was a TOTAL winner -- it responds SO well, and became a part of my amp and guitar. Low gain, medium gain, high gain -- it just sounded GOOD. THIS is a pedal I have been searching for.....and I have found it. It sounded AWESOME

CAF also sounded awesome as well, especially with the octave fuzz setting I have dialed in -- perfect for the Hendrix tunes we pulled out.

I am just really blown away by the tone and musicality of BOTH pedals. We recorded both audio and video last night, so after some editing and such, I will post a few tunes on youtube.

And then this weekend I am going to do some "demo clips" Donner-style at home with my practice amp and pedals, to see if I can make something worth listening to for those interested in the BJF pedals.

These pedals make me feel like I have come home 8)

Another new BJFE fan(atic) here.

I've had a Honeybee for a few months now and am in love with it. It took me a while to really dial it in for me. I love pushing it with my Klon, a deadly tone duo. My Telecasters just love the HB and the HB and Klon together.

I just picked up an EGDM last week right here on the forum. (Thanks Nibus!!!!) Took it to rehearsal this past Monday and it was just what I was looking for. It is replacing my Menatone TBIAC, which I really liked but the EGDM just locked in the tone I was looking for.

Now, I'm lusting after 2 things, either a BBOD or Bobby D's postman!!!! He just delivers the most amazing little packages.

Very happy I have found BJFE pedals and this forum!!!!

my postal carrier is getting a nice gift for the holidays. she has hauled some packages to my door, and knows when i am home, and really knows i want to receive them, so she looks out for me.

it's usually not this much busy though -- i just sold all my other pedals quickly, and bought a few BJF, and then the sickness started.....

ok, look what my beautiful mail lady brought me today!

i musy say, I am VERY impressed with the build quality of the MP series of Bj's effects.

I am the guitar tech for Brian Stoltz sometimes ( I prefer to PLAY myself, but Brian is SO GOOD it is worth it to tech for him, just for the learning and great music) -- and Brian is the KING of funk guitar from New Orleans. Enough that Bob Dylan called him and used him when he wanted "new orleans funk guitar" 8) 8) 8)

Anyhow -- Brian will soon be making one of these SWAF pedals DO THAT FUNKY THING like nobody else.

It is the same thing that happened years ago after Katrina -- he had lost ALL his gear, except his old tele and strat that were WITH him...

I gave him my older Roger Mayer made octavia rocket ship. At a gig I noticed all he had was a cheap tubescreamer, a gcb-95 crybaby wah, and maybe one other pedal....I asked him why, and then remembered Katrina.....

So I brought the octavia to him to "use" that night.

He made it sound SO GOOD I could not take it back from him. BJ talks to me of how certain people "play" effects pedals, instead of just forcing themselves on the pedal..... Brian is one of those players who lets the effect talk to him, and he responds to it.....

I knew IMMEDIATELY upon hearing the clips of the SWAF that this pedal would be GREAT for Brian....and for me too!!!!

I love it.....Brian will have his early next week. he will be doing the "Jam Cruise", a big week long jamband concert festival thing on a cruiseship in Janurary, and I can wait for that week!

dont know Brian? google or youtube Brian Stoltz -- The FUnky Meters -- Porter/Batiste/Stoltz -- and you will get an earful/eyeful. trust me...give him a listen......

and my pedalboard is coming along fine....a couple of more pieces, and i will be READY....

hope i am not taking up too much of the forum with my posts. i will try to stick to a couple of my own threads, and not clog up the whole place

Bobby D!

I listened to your myspace last night- sweet stuff, nice tunes. I'm stoked to see the pedal board you are building. Have you used the LGW to boost the DRD yet? Gorgeous combo man- such a singing lead tone.

I've been enjoying your posts, and I'm looking forward to see how you put all the pieces together for your board.
