Saffron Yellow Tremolo *** DEMO INSIDE ! ***

The SYT has come home! Scored this off of the TGP Emporiums a few days ago... I just had a chance to give it a bit of a test... It's really, really nice! Smooth, buttery... All that stuff. I like its range of speed and depth. One thing I've found with some trems is that they don't really meld totally with my guitar; the throb sounding somewhat apart from it. Maybe that'll make sense to some of you... That's not the case with this one, though. It very much feels like a part of the tone, instead of sitting on top of it. It seems very amplike. Very cool! I plan to upload a vid of it in action this Saturday, as there were only 39 of these made I guess (mine's #26), and there seem to be absolutely no video or audio clips on the 'net... I haven't owned that many trem pedals, so I wouldn't call myself an expert... Of those I've owned recently enough to make a somewhat clear mental comparison - Vibutron, Demeter Tremulator, Dr. Scientist, Boss, Semaphore... I definately like this one best. It's simple, but very toneful! :love4

Here are some pics. Video to come shortly!

Sorry for the delay in posting a vid, to everyone interested. Work and a toddler have been keeping me crazy busy this past week... I expect to have something ready and posted on Sunday. Still LOVING the SYT! :D

"Work and a toddler"

I'm right there with you! Congratulations on many fronts...

I had a MP MYT and thought it was really wonderful. Surprisingly, I think it overlaps a little bit with the BJFE MGMV so I didn't keep it, but what a GREAT pedal!

Thanks, Donnel! I have been really tired, but having lots of fun as you know... :D

Speaking of the MGMV... I bought one of the first Bearfoot ones (#006) and have found a lot of fun sounds over the past few days, when running them together but set to different speeds... Very cool for arpeggiated, ambient sounding stuff. Or crank up the depth for some cool pulsing, rhythmic chord-slamming fun... :D

As far as overlap, I haven't really found too much yet between the SYT and BF MGMV... Though the SYT isn't really the same as a Mellow Yellow... I've actually never heard a definitive explanation of how they differ, save for the Mellow Yellow's addition of a Level knob. I did hear some say that the Mellow Yellow didn't go deep enough for them and was also felt by some to be vibe-ish... Interesting, as I didn't feel that way about the Mellow Yellow I tried. Although I don't generally like my trems to get super choppy anyway... I also don't really hear any wobble in the SYT... It sounds like buttery, sine wave amp trem to me.... :love10

Anyway, vid to come soon... :coffeenews

Ok... As promised, here's a quick vid of the SYT. I had no time for a quality vid, so I just did one with my phone for now. Amp is a Morgan AC20 Deluxe 1x12 and the guitar is a Nocaster on the bridge pickup, if anyone is wondering. Dirt courtesy of an EGDM. Other details are in the video description. Also, my 1 1/2 year old was playing on the floor quietly, but then decided that the ending needed drums.

I like that... seems quite versatile and yes, the ending definitely needed some drums
