lol.....i will NOT let my bassist try it. he got my catalinbread SFT, and i haven't seen it SINCE!
i bet the PGC does wonderful things to bass guitar.
i have used a LOT of compressors over the years.....but there has never been anything quite like the PGC. the only one that comes close is the old TC Electronic Sustai/Parametric EQ pedal.....but that one has major SQUASH all the time, it can't be dialed out to make it more subtle. it's ALL or NOTHING with the TC SPE.
plus.......i just love GREEN pedals
I know we've had this discussion before Bobby D,
but if the world ran out of PGC's,
I know you'd also be happy with the AYA R-Comp.
Clean without squish,
best graphic on many a pedal,
and a very reasonably priced alternative.
It would be my re-purchased replacement for the sheen and brightness you value.
For me the tone could be shaped where the PGC was too bright with a Vibro King-
Made that in your face sparkle and high end better for my liking-
I know Newarkwilder went through the same dilemma when I last discussed this with you.
I know Mike also was playing his Super Reverb too,
Fender amps already have that clean brightness on tap.
I got my new guitar and was happy.
Still have 2 compressors on board(DOH!!!)
