There is a more complicated explanation but it might be easier to look at this picture and just orient your parts this way. Although there are 4 pads for two of the transistors, the one labeled 'B' for Base actually just stretches to two pads for easier fitting of different transistors.
The two transistors at the top right of the board have "outlines" on the board. They should fit in those outlines. The other two have E-B-C notation. If you take a 2n2219a and set it flat side down with the leads facing towards you, you will have the Collector (C) on the left, the Base (B) in the middle, and the Emitter (E) on the right. Put the transistors in that way and you should be back up and running.
