Lifestyle Forum ???

Is there any interest in sort of opening or expanding a forum here for us musicians to talk about non musician stuff ??? Like personal topics or cars or girlfriends or whatever ????

could get a little weird but could also be a good resource for some of us to share info and comiserate about what we do with the rest of our time - theres some pretty interesting people here and a pretty wide variety so theres potential ---- but is there interest ???

The best way i think would be to run it as an experiment. Even if we all agree that it is a good idea, what we say rarely explains what we will do (collectively and individually). That said, i think it is a good idea!

I think an educational sub-forum could benefit me particularly. That long stacking post by Bjorn and you is very cool..

The aspect I would love to see more of is a stacking/settings area...
Example, somebody posted his/her experience with EGDM => LGW with the settings (in o'clock's)... He included the settings for each knob... I tried it and it sounded delicious!! I didn't see much more of this sort of thing.. For me, seeing more of this would make me very happy!

True, theres really no way to find out without letting it roll a bit .....ok maybe we will just try it a bit......


The BJFE Reference Library is for people to dump thier setting and suggestions by pedal............I dont know how many do that (or even know that)

I've always thought the community forum is where people could do that if they wanted to. So far, there's doesn't seem to be much demand for it.

I thought the community forum was anything goes, kind of the like the sound hound lounge and the pub combined.

I always assumed the comm forum was for musical , non bjf as well. maybe others arent sure either?

i could see keeping the two seperate(Community /Lifestyle).
it would be easier to browse musical gear references without sifting thru non musically related topics.
