Pics of your favorite Donnerbox

Postby cabo » Sun Jan 18, 2009 2:50 pm

so how about some shots of your non-BJF Donnerboxes!

here a two of my favorites...my MP101 footswitch and a custom GreenRinger ,,both done in Aurora Borealis style. 8)
it was hard to get a good angle of everything but notice the detail in the landscaping too with the houses, trees, fence, etc..
you da man Donner! :D

Wow! Those look great. I dunno if its just because I'm from the north, but those are some of the nicest enclosures I've ever seen.

I keep wanting to make a no knob fuzz (but not a green ringer) and something like that would be amazing for it! If you don't mind my asking, what options did you go for on the green ringer?

thanks, I really like them too.

interesting that youd ask about the ringer options, I had it built for bass. :D

I had the null carrier and filter mod done, with a added control for filter, and a added switch to kill the carrier mod.
also some of the caps were changed for bass frequencies.

pm sent your way too.

Hmmmm... I'd made a green ringer a couple years ago, but it didn't get into a box and most of the parts got scavenged for other projects. I'd been thinking about putting one together lately though... Does the filter knob get much use, or does it end up being a set and forget kinda control?

Thanks for the info though!

i had to sell my absolutely awesome donnerbox'd peppermint fuzz last year... i wasn't really using it much and had to ditch a couple of really nice "collector" pedals... but damn, i wish i had it back
My BJFE- Some special ones. Some standard ones. I love them all just the same.

Here's one I can't seem to get any info re: it's provenance. It's signed Donnerbox but the circuit is what I'm
curious about. Is it the "Cabaret Linda" circuit of the first Silver Kiss pedals? Someone remarked the Green
LEDs were only in the first versh. The folks at Catalinbread don't seem to know either. Donner, do you
have any info you could share?

Thanks,
Noel Grassy.

Power Chords don't contain a third, so the maj&min qualities are not present. Heavy distortion adds harmonic content, and only perfect intervals have enough consonance to be clearly articulated at high distortion levels_DFunk
