Sorry, not trying to be a show-off or anything but this makes me so incredibly happy I just had to share. My apologies for the mindless self-indulgence

am I right that it seems to have an extra helping of gain on tap? I feel like I've been having to take my guitar's volume down a bit to get me into my more familiar HB territory.

NOTE: IN NO WAY AM I COMPLAINING! :P

I am not sure. I have another stand alone honey bee and a regular baby pink that I use on my main board. I use the HB deluxe velcroed right to my 68 fender princeton dripedge it is the only pedal I use with it as my portable rig, sounds awesome but very similar, I would say identical, to the separate pedals. If there is more gain it is very minor and not really noticeable at the gain level I set it at.

Ok thanks. I think its just my one newer guitar--its got humbuckers i'd never used before with the HB and I think that's making the difference.

It does have a bit of extra gain. You can adjust it to your liking through the trimmer inside. :) Bjorn is awesome!
