Sounds like everyone is having fun so far! great to hear
Ive mainly been using the LAM head into 1x12 bogner oversized closedback cab with Celestion V30 , and the LAM combo I have loaded with RedFang.
The RedFang sounds about twice as loud, and really lets a lot more sound thru, especially the upper register when done side by side. The RF had overall better clean and distorted sound, not as dark as the V30. I still like the bogner, big bottom end and tight, but could crank the loud to 11.5 and more to 11.5 and was still on my feet.
Settings I like on the combo w/redfang were 1, 2, 3, (left to right, oclock)
Head setting 3, 12, 4,,,,,,V30 still not as loud as the RF even when maxed. I was amazed at the output difference.
I love being able to blend the loop mix, and set the boost as desired.
Overall very versatile for a 3 knob amp, great eq between ‘neat’ and ‘on the rocks’ that works incredibly well. Adding the second footswitch for clean boost/loop makes even more possibilities for each channel.
The LAM combo has enough juice and imo a better sound that it is replacing my 20watt 1x2combo which has been my little work horse amp for years.
I haven’t tried much distortion or fuzz with them yet,,but have been using a lot of pedals in the loop such as delay, phaser and other modulating effects with excellent results.
Well needless to say but Im very pleased with design and sound of the LAM amps and the Great service of Alex and Bjorn,,, Thank you for the very fun amps gentlemen.
