......well, well...let's see Cobra!....did you send any money to Bjorn when you sold that LGW to me for $450 ???...i know you didn't pay that much for it....you even apologized for charging me that much at the time!!...so how am i profiteering when i'm selling it at $475 ???...TELL ME !....after Paypal takes their cut, and shipping, i'm just getting my money out!!.....and i kept my original promise to you and offered back to you first!....you are a piece of work!.....

..........as for the others, i bought the PPF for $450 ( asking $475 ) as well and the AWF at $575 ( asking $600 )....how am i profiteering ?????..........if you all want to acusse me of something, than acusse me of paying too much for something i love ...because i love Bjorn's stuff!....the only one i made a little cash on was the SYOD, which i held, and sold, to another BJFE forum member...

......and my primary connection to this Forum and BJFE pedals is pure admiration .....and you should know Cobra!!!!!....i've told you that many, many times before on the phone....Bjorn, to me, is the best maker, designer building right now....i'm not in this for Profits....i'm in this for great tone!...i assume like everybody else....

....i apologize to all my forum brothers for not posting here as well, but i needed a quick sale and sometimes things sit in the BJFE sale posts for awhile....and yeah, it would have helped to post them here as well...i am sorry.....this is the first time i haven't posted here as well....you can go look in the sale threads, i post here!!!

No matter what your views are on this situation, I would encourage us all to error on the side of withholding judgment. The reason I say this is because this forum, in general, has a fantastic vibe. As my gear interests have broadened, I have visited other forums and it makes it all the more obvious that we have a nice thing going here.

I'm not saying don't be mad or offended if that is how you feel, but please handle it in a respectful manner, no matter what side of the fence you're on. I would hate to see this place become jaded, hateful, immature, full of cursewords, etc. If you've visited some other forums, you know exactly what I mean (and ask me if you don't).

Also, I think we have to be careful about the "Keeping it in the family" line of thinking. For those of us in the family, it's a family, but to those on the outside, it can feel more like an elitist club. I don't think any of us here wish to turn this into an elistist club. At one point, none of us had any BJF pedals. That doesn't make your interest any less sincere. It just means you haven't had the pleasure of plugging one in yet.

That's not to say, we shouldn't give the courtesy of first or at least simultaneous dibs to forum members, but let's not get militant. There's no way to enforce it and to analoghog's point, sometimes there's not much reaction to FS posts here.

Kinda funny that your post above quotes prices that you quickly edited & lowered on TGP after visiting here yesterday, & after my original post. If you were after a quick sale, then why the inflated original asking prices, & no for sale post here? It's perfectly obvious.
Maybe you should edit your post here to reflect your original asking prices.
The simple truth is what it is. You're backpedaling & doing damage control. Otherwise why even post a sour grapes reply?
For the record, you've told me many times on the phone that your goal with BJF's, & any other gear is to make a profit.
You can post about how great Bjorn & BJF's are, & that is true, but you're not being upfront about your motives. You can go on & on about your great tone search & that's fine.

there are "no rules" here, as far as sales.....but posting the rare custom shop stuff here FIRST is probably the best idea.

and like BJ said, we don't want too many flare-ups here.

I talked to Marc (Skreddy) about this very phemomenon -- pedals he sells for $195 that are reaching $550 or more on ebay. He doesn't get a penny of that. But what can he do? Absolutely nothing.....

However.......we DO have BJFE.org

I agree with this post completely.
Part of the reason why I like coming over to this forum so much is the kind/generous vibe I get from its members.

I actually had been coming to this forum to read/view the forum for over a year before I started posting. I was initially a bit intimidated by the close knit feel of this place (which is why I didn't officially join for a while). It seemed like everyone knew each other personally, and everyone had almost the entire line of bjf pedals, while I only had 1. Once I got here, however, those feelings quickly melted - everyone was very accepting of me despite my limited actual experience with the pedals.

While I understand TGP and HCFX forums can be a bit negative at times, there are also plenty of bjf fans over there who don't come (and in some cases they don't even know) about this place. Honestly, if it wasn't for the TGP I would have never heard about these wonderful effects, and if it wasn't for all of the positive reviews I read about them over there I would have never considered purchasing my first ones.

If I had to one day sell either of my 2 customshop pedals (thankfully I don't) I would only do so becasue I really needed the cash (as I'm sure is the case w/ analoghog). While I would definetely try to list my pedals here for sale as well, if I needed a quick sale and only had the time to list it in one place - I would not hesitate to list them at TGP. Honestly, there is a larger audience of people looking at their emporium, and many of those people do not have any access to otherwise purchase these customshop pedals (as they do not come over here) and it will probably sell more quickly over there.
...that being said, if I had the luxury of time I would certainly offer them here first - as these are the people who allowed me the option of purchasing the pedals in the first place.
For the entire duration of my time here, analoghog has been one of the main 'regulars' who has consistently posted and contributed to the forum. He has supported Bjorn for years. It seems he has always listed his pedals for sale here in the past - lets not be so quick to jump on each other...in the end, these are just pedals and getting or not getting one is not something to loose any sleep/stress over.

there are PLENTY of people at HCFX and TGP that i would prefer NOT to be here, or just LURK.

and i know this forum can be kinda slow......

and i felt bad for analoghog, because i saw what happened to Donner when he tried to sell his DAM pedals on the DAM forum. i think they deleted that thread, because they were REALLY quite a$$holes to him.....

and right now, EVERYONE IS BROKE.

i am going to Bank of America today to have a conversation with my banker that I would prefer not to have.....so i feel that pain too......

Thanks to everyone and I hope no grudge is held anywhere.

I do not subscribe to necessarily keeping things in the 'family' but do understand ends need to meet at times. This is what it is. I am glad though that a family spirit can exist just the same.

I will say that I am glad that some things actually stay within in the 'family' as then I get a second wave of feedback, but this should be quite clear that this is not policed here-it's just a civil respect to eachother and all will have fun hopefully.

It is ofcourse quite fine to arguee about different things as long as that is helpful and never belittleling.

I will assume all active members understand this and would wish all to have the greatest fun.

As a sidenote: I cannot comment on what went down at the DAM forum. I will say I have played some DAM pedals and found the Sonic Titan to my liking and that's positive and I would look forward to saying more positive things as I try more DAM pedals and I would have confidence in DAM pedals after enjoying David's participation in FUZZ the Movie.
