Question about Honey Bee

Postby lemmingsunday » Wed May 02, 2007 2:34 am

Hello Bjfe -

Someone in reviewig their Honey Bee stated that they felt it could achieve Neil Young like overdrive. Is this true to some extent? The Honey Bee has been riding on the back of my mind for a few years, but if it can do the Neil Young meltdown then I'll be on the hunt for one. That massive raw and wild tone is something I've been wanting to add to my EL84 driven amp.

Where does one go to put a preorder for your effects?

Thank you -

J

I think the HBOD is more of a mild overdrive. It is a truly excellent pedal, voiced somewhat after an old Supro amp, if you remember those. Responds great to your pick attack, just like an amplifier. Also works great stacked with other pedals. However, I do NOT think it will do "meltdown" sounds on its own. Although it does have a raw sweetness to it, it is pretty low-gain in comparison to BJ's other offerings.

You can order from: http://www.makenmusic.com , http://www.musictoyz.com , http://www.tonefactor.com , or email [email protected] . They can also be found from time to time secondhand on Ebay as well as on http://www.thegearpage.net in the Pedals Emporium.

Good luck & welcome to the forum!!!
