H is for Hellhound

It's the middle of the night and I haven't slept for weeks
I'm hearing this sound like a howl and it speaks
"Your soul is mine and I will hunt you down,
And there ain't no one that I haven't found"

Sold my soul at the crossroads, so can't be saved by prayer
Look to the skies, but from the ground a growl tears through the air
It's a voice like a strong wind, but from a much different place
This is the howl of the hellhound on its chase

I can hear it coming, steady like a train, it just keeps on rollin'
It knows these are the tracks that I've spent my life strolling
A blues man fears nothing 'cause he don't know how to hide
When others would be silent, I scream, "I have already died!"

So I'm living on borrowed time with that hellhound on my trail
But I won't change nothin' still walkin' that rail
And when that hellhound catches me, I'm going down with a fight
'Cause Dylan Thomas told me, "Do not go gentle into that good night."

Rage, rage with that hellhound, but can't stop the dying light
Rage, rage with that hellhound, I will not go gentle.............

The Model H is like those earwigs
That they had in Star Trek 2
Once that sound gets in your ears
That's the end for you!

My Haiku:

The strong birg explodes.
unfolding beauty flows,
A call into the light.

While it technically doesn't meet the 4 line requirment, it is still poetry!
Haiku is only three lines with a specific syllable count for each line!

starting to round out the literary catagories. First the soliloquy, then the haiku. :)
I may have to relive some of my dr.suess stylies.
good play on the animals and 4H too, had to think about that one.

I got the chance to go to Pete Townsend's house
He purchased an owl named Who to deal with a problematic mouse
Pete's a really funny guy, he walks around with the owl on his shoulder
And wears a hat that doubles as a beer holder
I got to his place in the early afternoon, it was just about two
He answered the door and said, "Who are you?" and the owl sang, "Who? Who? Who? Who?"
This was probably the coolest introduction I had ever seen
And it was certainly fitting of the world's greatest rock machine
I told Pete I was on a pedal mission in search of just one box that could capture his tone
He gave me a look that was quite perplexed, then dialed Pete Cornish on his cell phone
Cornish said no, this is not possible, that'd be like finding the Garden of Eden
I overheard this and said, "Petes you silly bastards, there's a mad professor in Sweden
All you need to do is come up with a challenge and there's nothing he can't create"
They were both super excited to hear this and said o.k., we're willing to wait
So this mad professor bubbled bubbled toiled and troubled and poof like magic it appeared
I played the Petes the sound clips from youtube and their eyes both teared
Townsend was elated and he shouted, "That is my sound and it's captured in one pedal!
That mad professor is a genius, a true rock and roll rebel!!!!!"
So I asked Pete, "What animal would best represent the pedal, which represents you?"
He reached in his hat, handed me a beer and said, "Well obviously my owl named Who."
