Pedal Repair

Postby DCHORD » Tue Apr 15, 2008 6:31 pm

I have a SBEQ that I bought used off TGP that is in need of repair. It produces a static sound when plugged in, both when it's on or off. Wasn't sure where to post this, but I want to get the pedal repaired ASAP. Thanks.

It's more like a crackling "electricity" type noise then sizzling bacon or a white noise.
Input and Output jacks are tight.
Powering the pedal with a Pedal Power, inline with other pedals.
The On/Off switch makes a loud click when engaged, and the pedal will make crackling noises when tapped.
Noise occurs whether the pedal is on or off.

Yes, the noise is gone when the pedal is out of the chain. It's definitely the pedal.
