Yes, this is true...also a valid point. New cars depreciate the moment you drive them off the lot, etc.
However, I respectfully disagree with regard to the $500 plus price point idea for the BJF line...mainly because that would price me (and most guys I know) right out of the market.

I agree wholeheartedly - I was just voicing my fears as to where this conversation might lead to!
$500 plus would certainly price me out of the market!
It is worth noting that the Mad Prof pedals are very nice pedals, and in certain circumstances can be as good as, or maybe better, than a comparable BJF pedal. I guess it's all about supply, MP supply is higher than BJF so prices for BJFs will always be higher. The positive is that it is much easier to get a MP and that's got to be worth something to people in the initial purchase price that they don't mind losing on re-sale?
