Yes... I can vouch for this.. BJ is very happy  and so am I :music Hearing him play says it ALL

Now it is time to play guitar!!!! :music :music :music

Discussions Discussions.. We were discussing the blues amongst other things last night.. where did 'me, myself & I' as a guitar player come from? Ask yourself the same question.. now read these lyrics:

Now, when I was a young boy
At the age of five
My mother said I was gonna be
The greatest man alive
But now I'm a man
I'm age twenty-one
I want you to believe me, honey
We having lots of fun

Very apt words.. the question to ask ones self is where this resonated for you? Personally, I has a sound in my head that was overwhelmingly important to me. I did not know what it was at the time (I was around 5 or 6 I guess - mid '70's), and it was a type of bright musical electricity that was visual, but could not be seen, and most importantly.. it had a sound that I could vocalize.. I later learnt this was the sound of an electric guitar and the rest is history.. to play guitar is to sing with electricity!!!

They say that your calling in life; your vocation is always there.. not shouting out "here I am, here I am, check me out!" but just constantly whispering to you all the time... an innate truth that lingers in your bones.. a whisper we constantly listen too.. passively at first.. BUT, when you listen to this whisper actively and understand what it is saying.. BAM!!!! FUZZ GUITAR!!! :music

Now, we all know that BJ is a "Fuzz Messiah"... :bjorn but lets look back at the lyrics.. BJ was chosen by the whispering of the Guitar Gods and he heard it loud and clear.. In the late 70's and 80's Stockholm was Jazzical.. jazz and classical.. then there was BJ.. the Punk Rocker of Stockholm who could play this 'electrical storm of sound' .. we need to remember that he was the go to guy to learn how to play a truly electric guitar at this time both on the stage and to his students.

As BJ so brutally puts it.. 'sound conquers everything!!' :music .. as a great mentor once stated.. there is no war if you do not run out of words.. if you do run out of words; you better hide

Well... we are talking fuzz.. to know fuzz we need to know ourselves.. Ask yourself; who am I as a musician? Be truthful.. find your core self and be true to that.. do what YOU can.. this is very punk.. think: '..hey, I can do this so I don't give a sh*t if you want me to do that.. this here.. this is ME!!' Mmm.. and then by the age of twenty-one.. yes, you will be having lots of fun

Marty, thankyou for the kind words.. you picked up on every point! I guess this was not such a technical post but hey, we are talking Sparkle Faces and the joy of becoming Guitar Gods :pedallove so let's think about how we can do this.. the Sparkle Face is a precious gift of inspiration.. let us enjoy it and find new directions in sound as the fuzz messiah wills it! :bjorn

Now it is time to play guitar!!!! :music :music :music
