So I have Honey Bee #10, and the middle knob is labeled TONE instead of NATURE. The paint is different as well.. but that's par for the course I suppose. I searched the forums here and can't seem to find a definitive history on these early HBs to know when this changed or why mine is different. Any ideas? Pics below..
From Bjorn: Firstly the Honey Bee is one of seven units made with a paint experiment and those were the first after the initial three that were all painted with a spraygun but all after that have been painted with a brush I may have in my old computor the date this unit was made.
It should have said Nature on this unit as on all Honey Bees except a few that by accident got a different text and actually whenever that happens like once a year I'd let it be becuase even years after someone might ask about it and sometimes there's a story to tell about a unit.
Cool early bee. Have you heard many bees? How would you describe this one gain, volume and eq wise? Regardless what the knobs say I am sure it has "tone" to spare. Thanks, W
