Bjorn Interview - Six String Soul (February 2005)

Postby mrpicard » Sat Jun 22, 2013 8:16 am

On 1st February 2005 Bjorn was interviewed by Dan Kern on the blog site Six String Soul. It was a wide-ranging interview covering all manner of topics including the history of some of the BJFE pedals, the goals, the inspirations, the technologies, the reasons for the colours etc. It is a fascinating insight and I highly recommend you have a read of the full interview here.

It was a great interview and Bjorn helped a lot of people understand the stacking capabilities of the BJFE pedals. Bjorn is a treat. We're working on a 2013 interview with Bjorn so stay tuned.

Very cool interview. I loved the part where Bjorn detailed what stacks he liked, and what role each pedal played in the stack. It was also interesting reading about the background of different BJFEs. I didn't know the BPB was designed to go with the BBOD. Given that, I'm surprised we don't see as many BBOD Deluxe pedals as we do HBOD Deluxe pedals.

My favorite quote from the interview was when Bjorn was addressing the transparency of the BPB and said: "...I do not deal in transparency but the colors of tone." I love this. Bjorn creating colors for us to paint with. How color is incorporated in the names of each pedal. Etc.

Fun interview for BJFE fanatics.
