the BF BPB is the same as the BJFe +6db and buffered and I think they will be $199.

well for all those that only use the Klon as a clean boost - I think the BPB is better in both buffer and sound quality :glasses

Only as a buffered, clean boost -- AGREED! The Baby Pink Booster is ideal for such an application.

I do, however, love my Klon for a base, slightly dirty tone.

Love me some BPB.

Cheers.

Who knows honestly but for real I talked to one store that's been taking preorders a while that has 150 of the new Klon made by Rocket FX coming in within the week. The preorders are all full I'm not one who got in on it. Though I would have paid the 25% deposit. I'm sure if they get them they'll be few who flip them for insane prices still because of how long the delays to get them out were, so people won't trust another batch will come quick.
But really who knows as this point?
I would just like to grab one to try it....

I don't typically like "clones" and like to support new builders but the Klon stuff and Bill F. have completely lost me as a customer. I know many don't have the same feeling as I do but I'm voting with my wallet. I don't support someone who cannot be bothered to keep their customers informed and sees no issues with providing empty promises time after time. If I want a Klon, I'm building a clone because, yea, the pedal is great, but I will never support Bill. There are way too many fantastic builders out there who I'd rather see succeed on their hard work. Also, Donner is spot on about the BPB. Wayyyy better buffer and absolutely beautiful clean boost that adds just a bit of thickness and sparkle (you know that typical BJF-style magic) :pedallove :notworthy

Thanks for putting out yet another fantastic design. It is worth noting that Bearfoot has come into existence and released over a dozen pedal designs since the first promised return of the Klon...

Yeah I never really was trying to get one myself over the years so I didn't really follow what went on. It does seem insane how long it took for the pedal to be released to those wanting them. And with the stuff said about Bill being the guy who was selling many on eBay at inflated prices (if that's true that's really awful). Cloning seems reasonable for sonething that is out of production.
Anyways did not want to make it yet another Klon discussion as I've stayed out of all past ones anyways.
Also, agreed about the buffer/boost....BJFe designs an amazing Buffer & has a great understanding of the volume/boost control as it works so pleasingly & natural compared to many. :laughing4

BPB better in buffer and boost qualities eh????? I'm actually more in need of that action than just a slight grit boost to be honest...

How does the BPB play with fuzz pedals? I know thats somewhat of a general question but I find myself using fuzz more and more and have ZERO luck getting a VOLUME boost out of em.

Depends on the fuzz pedal really, what type & model u have?
I'll say this, the usual "fuzz-face" style that don't like buffers are a common problem. However, my AnalogMan SunFace normally doesn't do well with buffers was fine with the BJFe PH.....now that's not a BPB and may have a different buffer. (PH buffer only active when on) but sounded great with fuzz. So the BJFe buffers could be an acception.
I never used the BPB with my fuzz though. Someone here probably has. Also are u using it pre Or post fuzz? because some fuzzes can tolerate buffers after them a little ways.
