What's the difference between this and the Honey Bair 4K?

Looks great, Donner!

Cheers.

I believe it is the darker original HBOD circuit.

Donner -- I want one but I'm broke -- will this be a limited run or will it be available in the normal lineup?

Yeah this is a little darker overall and has a stronger treble control ...... Ive been trying to quantify the difference and what I really like is that it has more of a purring quality to the dirt ...

Yup the 4 knob HBs are a series of limiteds Sunny Bee Girl, Honey Bair, Honey Beeatch ....

What was it about the Bearfoot Honeybee that didn't do it for you? I haven't tried the original BJFE Honeybee, but own a Bearfoot Honeybee and love it. It's my main "loose" low-gain overdrive that I use for raw alt-country tones. It pairs with my Klon clone (Aluminum Falcon) quite well.

The difference between the BJFe and the Bearfoot to me was the BJFe was a little bit looser while the Bearfoot was a bit smoother and more polite but, like it has been said elsewhere, the differences are so small and barely noticeable without a side by side comparison. It is also less difference than between individual BJFe units.

I put up my BJFE HBOD up for sale on TGP today (along with close to 20 other pedals) b/c I really need some funds. It was my first BJFE pedal, so when I saw the serial number when I first received it, it didn't really mean anything to me, so I forgot it. Musicsoma pm'd me on TGP asking what serial number it was, so I cracked it open for the first time since I bought it....

That's a nice surprise! I decided to find something else to sell and keep it. I have HB DLX #21, and I always thought it sounded a bit different from my Honey Bee. Now I know why! Now I want to try out a newer Honey Bee...it never ends!!!
