Yeah I was playingg both SYs last night alot, and really they give all the classic american tones that I love, all the tweeds and blonde brown blackface tones are in there - its Joe Walsh and George Thouroughgood and Ted Nugent and a dozen others .... its also those low/mid level crunchy marshall tones ..... its still the best daily drive in my opinion.

oh I was just word playing - the Oracle of Equalization is the SBEQ it needs its own PCB, but thats in the pipeline.....

Oh yes the Honey Bairs are still coming, they are somewhere over the Atlantic, once they arrive they will need to get double clear coats and branding and then stuffing so that a few weeks off still ....

Donner.. do you think the SY would play nice into a tweed circit amp or would it be overkill? I have never played one but could never find one that wasn't too marked up (pricewise). I love the sounds you are describing and I can those w/ the amp dimed but at 30W its a bit loud.

I love the SYOD v2 into my 52 Tweed Deluxe. It is just that perfect classic rock tone you hear in your head.

Yeah thats part of why there are 2 viable versions - similar range of sounds on different range of speakers - or different range of sounds on the same amp/speakers. This is also my favorite slide tone 'Victim of Love'

Yeah those 5E3 circuits are weird w/ certain pedals.. I got enough headroom to use whatever but I'm having a hard time finding that "ideal" overdrive for it. I like the HBOD into it, but I'm not loving it as much as I did. I love a wren and cuff TFR muff into it, but its too much sometimes too. That kind of versatility you are mentioning sounds pret t sweet

For my Tweed, the drives I prefer are the Mdoel G, SYOD v2, and LGW. My BBOD also does some cool stuff for lead work on that amp.

Yeah, the 5e3 can be tricky with pedals. I really like using an HBOD into mine and the AnalogMan KoT was superb with the 5e3 as well. The KoT really shone with the treble increased just a bit. I really want to try an MG into my 5e3 though.
