Yes, but... 1) I did get to try the Woody Orange dual pedal and didn't like it as much as the Saffron V1 & V2. 2) As fun as a dually would be I don't have the room for such a beast, but will get a V2 down the road for sure. YMMV.

That is not to say that runs of double pedals wouldnt be a good idea. Or, make the double standard and do small runs of individual V1 & V2 or V3 as I do not know what Bjorn did with the feedback from a ways back.

The 4 knob V1.5 or V3 could be interesting. Enough green pedals already. IMHO the syod v2 sounds more Orange. I don't know how releasing a V1 and V2 will go over with normal people and it could be a nightmare explaining the situation where two different colors is easy to understand and kinda normal for better or worse

I've been down the "operable but independent" rabbit hole before and the only way to make it truly work is also make the order switchable... and at that point you're better off with two separate pedals.

I say if there isn't magic 4th knob that can take the pedal from v1 to v2 then just make them separate boxes. Voting for the following names

.. V1 = sparkling orange
.. V2 = sparkling yellow

So I know you won't have anything definite as far as timeline but any idea on when this project would finally come to life? Are we talking weeks or months here? Gotta start saving my $$

I like Sparkling for the v1 as it's more in your face, and Saffron for the v2, as it has the wonderful mellowed bluesy feel.

heres the quandry .....
The V1 and V2 have parts differences and apparantly its not something you can just spreadmorph across a pot...
BUT- as we have the 4 knob option now - It looks like we might be able to get a switch to make the changes between the two..... so one setting is v1 and the other is v2 - NOT both complete circuits in series/parrallel ...
But you could of course get two of them and stack a v1 setting into a v2 setting or vice versa or 2 v1 settings etc....

kind of siamese/conjoined twins in one body ....

OR say V1 yellow OR V2 orange with a new 4th knob like body/nature etc.......

Both of these circuits cover a lot of the daily medium dirt territory and I think this one would do really well

or all of the above is always a popular choice .....

Yes I dig the Sparkling Yellow OD color/paintjob and it will likely be just like the BJFe without the white stripe (so the BJFes are still special...)

I am so excited about this Donner! I have never had the chance to try either version so having both in one enclosure would be great as i'll finally be able to try both.

Donner, what would the conjoined twins do to the price? Would the box need to be taller to fit two boards? I do not know your cost structure, but I would think you would/should charge at least another $125 - $150 for parts labor and value added to the final product.

Also, why does it have to be V1 or V2? Opinion on this thread is rather evenly split and just offering one version might bring out the lynch mob! I think you might do well with two 3 knob pedals: V1 Sparkling Lemon OD and V2 Sparkling Orange OD.


I remember V2 stacking better, but I can't remember which version is higher gain?

v1 was higher gain and brighter brittler tone -- definitely more of a distortion than a traditional OD
v2 was lower gain and smoother and thicker -- definitely more of an overdrive and great at stacking
