What bjfe pedals..??

Postby Andy » Thu Apr 26, 2012 3:15 am

Hi guys,
I'm new here, and I've known bjfe pedals just few weeks ago! I'm trying to buy one of them, but I see that they're hundreds..!!

What pedals you would recommend to me? What are known as the most famous, used, best sounding bjfe pedals?
I'm sure that they're all excellent, but I'm searching for some of them from wich I can start..! The "must" bjfe pedals to have!

Please help me in this hard research.. :(

Thank you! :D

It all depends on what guitars/amps your using and what sounds you're looking for. The Honey Bee, Dyna Red, Sea Blue EQ and the Emerald Green Distortion Machine are probably the most popular, can be most easily found used and are all available new from Custom Sounds if you're not opposed to waiting a bit :) The pedal descriptions page is a good place to learn more about each pedal that has been made by Bjorn from the common down to the prototypes:http://www.bjfe.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2261

Thanks man!
I usually use a Fender Strato, and I love old blues and 60-70's rock, until 80's hard rock. I love some modern psichedelic bands too.

What about the Model H ? I've always heard people talking about that..
What are your favourite bjfe's pedals?

Thank you :-P

We were just discussing this in another thread, but for bluesy rock, the Baby Blue Overdrive is pretty dang awesome. The good ol' Honey Bee also does some great blues and classic rock tone.

I would think that the Dyna Red Distortion and Baby Blue Overdrive would suit you well.

I'd say start with Bearfoot pedals, they are top notch and will get you further into the BJFE exploration than trying to buy all originals.

This was my thought too. Bearfoot Honeybee and Dyna Red.

For those who have tried both a bearfoot and a bjfe: the difference of sound exists? Is the bjfe much better?

I've heard no one of you recommend the Model H... why? :o
It seems to me one of the best bjfe's pedals, hearing from youtube

thanks to all, guys! :D

To me, the difference between the Bearfoot and the BJFE stuff is VERY subtle on the BF pedals I have tried. I think they do a wonderful job of providing a more affordable sample that is complete with loads of BJFE mojo and magic. Even some of the BJFE stuff that I have tried can vary ever so slightly from pedal to pedal so any subtle difference is not in a "good" "bad" sort of way.

Model H is killer, they all are...

I would definitely make the Honey Beest a starting point. For my taste, I would probably lean more towards the Model H than the DRD, but either would be cool. Then add in the PGC and between those three, you will have a monster of a start.

It all depends on the flavor you are looking for....right now the model h is my favorite...if you prefer Marshalls, check out the drd or model r...if you like low gain, check out the honey bee or model g or syod or bbod....
