Issue with my PGC - RESOLVED

Postby thetoneseeker » Sat Apr 07, 2012 7:56 am

Hey all,

I was playing on stage last week when I realised a sudden volume drop in my PGC.

I always set my PGC's volume at 11 o'clock. Whereas now, in order to get the same volume, it has to go up to 2 or 3 o'clock.

I thought it might be the footswitch, so I followed the footswitch clean-up video and cleaned off the excess grease but it didn't work.
Anyone has any thoughts on this issue?

Thanks so much!

Did anything else change in your rig? Or did you increase the compression? Is it Bearfoot or Bjf?

It is a BJFE PGC.
I removed some pedals from my rig. Made the chain shorter.
The compression was around 11 to 12 o'clock. I only increased it just a bit.

I had the same thing, till I realized I turned the mix on my delay fully up with my foot accidentally! Oops....

I went in for a sound check, everything was fine. Then during the actual performance, the volume dropped drastically and i found that it was due to the pedal.

I didn't have my delay on.

Tested it out again today and the volume went back to normal.
All is good, hope this doesn't happen again though =)
