Only a few pedals are truly OOP (BBOD, PPF, PPP and the ones that transitioned to the MP line) -- I believe he is telling the truth, I think you can still get on the list and pick these up through custom-sounds (albeit you may have to wait some time to do so).
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

Yeah, Custom Sounds emailed me earlier in the week to say that they'd put me on the waiting list for the BPB and RRB and they'd let me know when they got them.

I too was able to get on a RRB list at custom sounds. Though, if I was smart, I would still have #102 to make me sound better!

is there an additional VAT as well since you're in Europe? This may explain the perceived price difference.
