Well the fourth knob had something to do with its name...

It adds a 4th to the original note? I got crazy and bought one, so I hope to find out this weekend (if the weather holds and the postal idiot doesn't mess up again).

That's a headscratcher... not sure if I'll have this one figured out based on that hint but I'll ponder it further...

so either "4th knob" or "Beeatch" should hint at the function

oooh, or maybe "mystery" knob -- maybe it's a pot wired to nothing leading to the mystery of why the heck would that be useful!
