bearfoot honey bee at 18v

Im sure this will have been asked before but i can't for the life of me find it!
Will the bearfoot honeybee run ok at 18v ?

If you use single coils try 7.5 - 8 Volts.
Gunbarrel Guitars, Evidence Audio wires.
