It was worth it - it still has the raging flame at the top end :angryfire and a nice range all the way down to almost nothing/warm boost 8)

That's great Donner! Can't wait to try it. So far I'm loving the Beest quite a lot and am hoping that the Dyna Red Hot's range will allow me to get more than what I'm getting with the DRD.

Dyna Red Hot is colossal.
Extremely special tuning. Very authentic JCM 800 and beyond sounds. Stunning.
I have only now tried it with a Twin reverb with eminence legend speakers, but so far it is really something to feast on.
I am thankful for the Dyna Red Hot and will report more soon.
Have any distinct questions Donner that might help zero in on the research / data collection? This thing positively smokes!- :angryfire :pedallove

Sounds really, really Marshally, that is, it has an authentic, authentic, authentic amp sound. Maybe more so than any other pedal of this type I've played.
I've always wanted a pedal like this, and have tried SO many that claim to sound like a hot rodded amp. None have sounded as such to me. This one really nails it.
It sounds like the recorded sound of "Reign in blood", or "South of heaven" with the distortion knob dimmed, maybe "Kill em all".
This is a very, very, very good thing.
The tuning of this pedal is outstanding.

.....thats what I wanted to hear that from some one else first 8)

Yes this is the best hard rock distortion I think Ive ever heard. period.

Just like there are a lot of classic rock pedals that sound like a Marshall, but the DRD is one of the few that FEELS like a half stack....

the Red Hot does the same thing for the Modded/800+ sound - it FEELS and responds like an amp on fire ....

just occurred to me that it sounds so right that I havent even tried stacking it - I bet it kills into a HB or SBEQ .....hmmmmm

What Im also interested in is how you all would rate and use the lower 2/3's of this pedal

The humper into it, is to die for.
sounds great with rrb into it, just adds a little little rounderness. not much.
BPB on the outro is great.
But these are just subtle, subtle spices. It sounds DYNAMITE! by itself!
And I would agree best hard rock distortion, hands down. Game over.
infinitely better than suhr ri0t, marshall g0v/shred master/ c0rnish g2, any of those!
Feels/ Sounds like an amp! Great, great, great bearfoot times. Myself I prefer it to a Dyna Red I used to own.
Maybe premature to say, but It very well might knock out a CH if they came to blows.
The eq'ing is beyond remarkable.

I like how it can't get fake sounding....dimmed even, it never sounds false. I think that is a good tuning choice. It could probably have more gain, but to me any more gain could make it artificial sounding.

yeah it kills me ---- when I test pedals I have a few riffs that I always do on each pedal so I know its in tolerance and ready for adoption
And this does Bostons Smokin, and Montrose and Cat Scratch Fever(yes Im old, no snickering) by itself - it sounds like a double tracked guitar almost - by itself...

yes you can turn it down --- but why ?
