Funny, as soon as I saw the Beest announcement, I started wondering the same thing. Not that it is supposed to be a G, but that it might be close to it sonically.

While I agree somewhat with the tighter/gainier HBOD description of the MG I don't think the cranked trimmer on the HBOD Dlx gave the MG sound (as I recall). The Bearfoot HBOD is certainly voiced slightly brighter and not quite as saggy/fuzzy as the standard BJFe version (much like the HBOD Deluxe) it's definitely not going to give you the MG sound. All things considered it's closer to the MG tone than a standard HBOD but still very different animals IMO.

I still REALLY want one though :drooling :love10 :love4 :pedallove

sonictroubadour wrote:And to switch gears, I'm wondering, Donner, if BF ever releases an EDGM, will you externalize the treble trimmer in a manner similar to the way the level boost trimmer was placed up top on the BF MGMV?

That would be soooooooooooooo cool! :pedallove

I hope so -- that would sell it for me for sure. I hate internal controls and feel like the trimmer on the EGDM was invaluable.

 Hey Donner -- :wave Hey Bjorn -- hope you're listening :)

+2 on the EGDM treble trimmer either still being there or turning into an external control. It's an absolutely ESSENTIAL part of the EGDM imho.

Oh man, an extra knob would seem just perfect for the trimmer on an EGDM. Count me in on this one!

... ok update time

...looks like the we solved the Vibe problem and I should have some final units for rigorous testing Friday and, if that goes well, mailing off to the first new owners on Saturday ..... and if all that happens then Ill reopen the order button ~ I dont want to get too far behind and it will take a few weeks just to get thru the standing preorder group ( Ill be contacting those that wanted the box upgrade shortly).

... next will be the new Honey Beest ~ this is the higher gain Honey Bee in the striped boxes(pics on the BearFoot FX FaceBook page). This is especially useful for single coil players who want to get the bee dynamic dirt easier without using humbuckers or a prebooster ... this is like the Honey Bee Deluxe with the internal pregain dial maxed - it basically picks up where the standard HB ends with little overlap. Everythings already in place on this one and it will be available soon.

... the Dyna RedHot ~ for those that wanted a higher gain DRD. This will also have more low mids and slightly smoother treble - this is also great with single coils even without the extra gain ... there is some of the Rebel Red in this one for those that wanted that .... still a little tweeking to go on this one, but hey, the cool boxes are painted !! (pics also on FB page)

these two are custom versions that should take care of alot of the custom requests from over the years, and this is more what BearFoot will be doing instead of individual customs - Bjorn/BJF may still do those.

.... and after that theres compressors and equalizers and modulations and suprizes and more dirt and we havent even started on the fuzzes yet .... it does help to know what you all want to have and we are trying to respond as best we can and keep the quality up and the price and wait down ..... thanks for being patient.

Box upgrade = Donnerbox for a couple folks I believe

Also -- if you need a vibe by Sunday I have a BJF one FS

Don't NEED one by Sunday- but definitely do WANT! :pedallove

But I can wait.

I do already have a tasty Bigfoot FX Magnavibe and a Malekko Vibrato, so the Bearfoot Vibe will be in good company!
