quick placement question, I know a popular use for the Sea Blue is at the end of the chain...would this be before or after the delay?

Also, what are the pros of using this at the begining of the chain?

well I guess the correct answer is as always, try both follow your ears
some things to keep in mind tho....

changing the EQ before and after distoritions has an effect on them especially bottom, it can change the harmonic content....

the SBEQ has a ceiling that deals with the high icepick treble and you will hear this quite a bit differently with different speakers ....

I have an SBEQ after my drives for tone shaping but before Delay/Reverbs and a Baby Pink at the very end for clean boosting of everything and the buffer

also try the SBEQ with the bass and treble all the way down - both before and after a drive --- its a very useful mid boost.... and it does different things before and after.....

Yes, This is what I'm looking for. I try to run my rig bright enough to where I get the chime for the kerang and ringing bell-tones ,, while trying to tame any icepick in ear...unfortunately you sacrifice one for the other. Ideally someday, I'd like to get the PGC to round things out kinda of use the PGC as a chime/jangle/sparkle enhancer and use the Sea Blue to round the low mids and low end...I'll consider this more after the taxman comes.

I'm running an GZ34 rectified Tophat Club Royale 2x12 and the speakers are a Cele G12h30 and a Fane V30...what the label says. tubes are a JJ GZ34 JJ EL84's and a trio of Ei ECC83's with one being a balanced Triode in either V1 or V3...which ever is farthest away from the Powertubes.

hmmm have you tried a solid state rectifier ? thats one way to tighten and fill out the bottom on 84s

I thought about that, but always scared I'd loose the sag. Maybe I should just pick up a ss plug for variety. I'm starting think I may want too much out of a guitar tone than one amp and a few pedals can provide

+1 on Donner's SS Rectifier idea.

IIRC, those SS plugs that you can insert into your existing tube rectifier socket aren't all that expensive. It could be worth checking out, and if you don't like it...don't think it will have cost all that much.
