beware of Halophaze #7

Postby hawaii121 » Sat May 28, 2011 1:56 pm

Halophaze #7 is a very very very bad Halophaze who currently lives in Canada. Halophaze #7 has a very difficult time getting on a plane and coming to visit me in Hawaii, even after I paid for Halophaze #7's airfair... shame on Halophaze #7... Bad bad Halophaze...

If Halophaze #7 offers to pay you a visit, be very careful, he might just use your money for fun instead of airfare...

Hey Donnel,
Did this all ever get sorted out? It's always such a shame when stuff like this happens...has Paypal been of any help?

After lots of struggle and some very flippant emails from the seller, I did finally get a tracking number informing me that a parcel of some sort is being sent to me.

Such a shame that there are folks lurking around that have such little consideration for their responsibility to others in these exchanges. Thankfully, this experience is by far the exception. Of all the multitudes of exchanges I have made over the last two years this is the first that has gone this way.

Paypal states on it's site that buyers are required to have tracking information that shows that they shipped within 7 days of receiving payment - my friend finally shipped 21 days after payment and about 12+ emails and pms.

I think that I purchased another BJFE pedal from the same person and it took me a while and a lot of messages to finally get it. But in the end, after a few weeks of back and forth, then saying that it had been returned to him, it finally arrived. Hang in there..... hope that things work out.

The mystery of Halophaze #007 has finally been resolved. He showed up in my mailbox yesterday. Cool pedal and lots of room for exploration.

Lesson learned on checking references for sellers... Thank god for paypal protection or I would have been freaking out and had no leverage.
