Mine has been changing a lot lately and am still playing around with the position of the Zendrive and the Cusack. The only other pedal i have right after the DBD is a Vanamps Solemate reverb. For now it looks like this.

Awesome board! I was just using my Honey Bee with the EXACT same setting... I still haven't decided what setting I like best on it though... It seems I can set it almost anywhere and have a good sound.

What are your thoughts on the Red Rooster? It's one of the few I'm still thinking I might want....

“Your name here”, I actually haven’t settled on a specific setting for the HBOD yet, as it keeps changing depending on which pedal i am stacking it with. I see you have a Boiling Point, Kanji Eternity and a Klon. How and for what purpose do you use each of these? How do you stack them with your BJFE? I had a Kanji Eternity, but decided to sell it and keep the Cusack Screamer.

Today I finally gave the SBEQ a fair play, as i have been so busy these past months, and finally noticed what some have pointed out. It is not an ‘in your face’ pedal, but when you turn it off, you feel there is something missing. I might not even need the BarbEq anymore! I run it at 15 volts.

My latest bjfe is the DRD and still haven’t had the chance to play with it for that long. So far though, i love it. It has replaced my Hellbender, Direct Drive, and Crunchbox without a doubt. It sounds so well with both my strat and prs. The next step will be to play with different voltages.

Thanks all in this board for being so helpful and for providing pictures of their boards. It has given me good ideas when setting up mine.

Hi JonnyRocket, that board is actually mine. I use the Rockbox and the Kanji interchangeably depending on what's best for the guitar part or song I'm playing. The klon is just a magic pedal for me. I use it a little differently than most do though. I actually love it's overdrive sound and set it up that way as much or more than i use it as a clean boost.

As far as BJFE stacking, I REALLy like the way the Kanji and the Klon stack into the DRD. They both accentuate the midrange in different ways, and I find that really works nicely with the DRD. I'm not big on how the Boiling Point stacks with anything, but the PGC in front can really do some nice things it.

Johnnyrocket. You should try a Model H and compare it to your WIIO. I suspect the MH will win! Otherwise great board!

Joeleo, my bad, i got confused with one of the quotations of your board. I have been curious about trying a Klon and a Boiling Point for a while. I liked the video i saw at proguitarshop of the boiling point, but i tend to dislike pedals with too many knobs and toggle switches. The Klon, on the other hand seems simple to use. I think though, my next bjfe is going to be a PGC. I have been reading so much about it lately and am aware that the waiting list is quite long at the moment. I am sure though that several months after the batch is released, quite a few will pop up on the forums, as i think happened with the DRD recently.

thesjkexperience, i have also been wanting to try a MH, and am sure i will like it more than the WIIO, but i am still recuperating from my last bjfe purchase. Maybe i’ll get one after finding a PGC. The WIIO is a pedal that took me some time to getting used to. The gain is quite subtle until you hit 75%, it stars to get brutal.

Cash, the big trouble with addictions isnt it?

The good news is MH used to go for $500 and can now be had closer to the mid $300s for a V1. I have a V1 and a MHT (trimmer) and they are my favorites of the BJFE dirt pedals. For a long time people were buying them and flipping them fast as the V1 is not a good bedroom pedal. I dont know if they are the best with humbuckers, but they rock with a Tele!

What are those white things around your pedals?

I know! And when you feel you are recuperating from the previous bjfe shopping spree, you just happen to find a good deal on one of the forums. hehehehe

I just read about the Model H and it does seem really cool. I think they were originally designed to work with humbuckers. I will keep my eye out for a V.2, as I live in an apartment and my neighbors are very sensitive about the noise.

How do you like the SBEQ? I see that you are running yours early in the chain. Have you tried it towards the end?

Those white patches around the pedals are velcro. I read the idea in this forum i think. You just cut little squares of velcro and tear a small hole in the center. Then you remove the screws off the backplate and insert the screws through the whole in the velcro. Then put the screws back and Voila! No stickiness to ruin the pedals.

Then you remove the screws off the backplate and insert the screws through the whole in the velcro. Then put the screws back and Voila! No stickiness to ruin the pedals.

As far as the Velcro, I cut a couple of strips that are about an inch wider than the pedal, then leaving the paper on, unscrew the backplate a bit and wrap the Velcro around the back plate (paper side in), tucking the ends of the velcro between the back plate and the enclosure.

It's a variation of the diaper method mentioned by Bjorn on this forum. The cool thing is, it leaves no visible paper and it'll provide a more secure bond. Forgive me, if you already know all this stuff....

I actually have the SBEQ on the back side of the dirt as an eq again. See current configuration below. If I had a large enough board and enough money I would have a SBEQ on the front and back of the dirt. I did just pull out my old Swart Atomic Boost which is also amazing for boosting BJFE dirt.

I saw the video for the method Your Name Here uses. I just don't know how you can still get it to stay while the feet are on. I had a spare bottom to put on my Model HT, but the only pedal I have that doest have velcro is the MP FGC (my SWAW has feet but the previous owner removed velcro and it has no paint on the bottom anyway) and that has the bottom of my Ruby Red on it until I decide if I am going to keep it.

Now that my board is finally complete, I figured I'd post... The wall wart is only for the Wah Probe, which can come and go. Everything else runs off of one PP2+. Also, the EGDM and HBOD are running at 12v and the PGC and SBEQ are running at 18v. I'm super happy with this board!
