I need more dirt like I need more holes in the head (please dont ask  ). I did sell my last two delay pedals and have a positive cash flow for once! Although Strymon has something coming in April to change that.

i heard it's shipping in march.....and will be the same price as the other CB series dirt pedals.....fantastic value for the sound :joker

Thanks! a Soldano sound would be a nice addition! And, thanks for demoing with a Tele.

i kinda liked it better with the Tele, but it sure did RAGE with humbuckers! i am just not a Les Paul guy

I will be ordering this the moment it comes out. Every clip of the CH has made me smile like Han Solo. That lop-sided type of grin. During the tele clip, I was thinking "man, I gotta get this in the next few months." But that Les Paul clip! the money is already spent. That GOOD! :notworthy

it IS good........Bjorn asked me to describe it in my own words, and i said:

The Stone Grey Distortion is a high gain machine for the new breed of modern rock guitarists. While nodding it's head to forerunners like the Mighty Red Distortion and the venerable Dyna Red Distortion from BJFe, the Stone Grey distinguishes itself with a ferocious attack and precision clarity. Where the Stone Grey differs from many "cookie-cutter" modern copies of RAT pedals and the like is in its razor sharp dynamics and high gain intensity. This distortion is ready for drop tuning, 7 strings, and modern rock players who are seeking extreme gain with intense string to string definition. Play a chord and hear each note distinctly, instead of it turning to "mush" like many other high gain pedals. With the gain turned down, the Stone Grey can even approach Overdrive-like textures, and responds to the player's touch and dynamics like other Mad Professor pedals do. This is not your father's Tube Screamer or Rat pedal, this is a new breed of distortion created by the Mad Professor himself to satisfy the needs of gain hungry rockers who crave the intensity as well as the clarity that modern rock demands.

Yep.

This is pretty much the only drive pedal (other than a BBOD) on my radar. Can't wait!

thanks.....i know it's "marketing-speak" -- but that's my honest take on the pedal.

i really feel that the Stone Grey can be a "gateway" pedal for many younger players into the MP line.

i really want to try one out at full stage volume into a LOUD clean amp :pedallove

the Stone Grey also sounded AMAZING being boosted by the Ruby Red -- i was able to get almost infinite sustain and easy harmonic feedback textures using those two.

the Cliffhanger I did not catch my ear....loved the finish, but it didn't sound very good with my Soldano and strat.

the Cliffhanger II was much improved....i fell in love with that one.

the Stone Grey is gonna be a real winner for MP...... :music :music :music

Yeah I completely agree that the Stone Grey will be a gateway pedal for many into the MP line. Especially now with the PCBs being so affordable. I have no doubt that if it sounds like the CHII, it'll sell like hotcakes :)
