Pretty Hate Machine

Postby jfromel » Wed Nov 24, 2010 2:25 am

Just got an email that Pretty Hate Machine is being re-released and re-mastered. I have the very first release of that album on cassette tape, got it 1989. There is a 16 min video at the website http://prettyhatemachine.com/ I was at that show where everyone is swinging on the lighting rigs. That was about the best show I have ever seen!

Later on that year I saw them open for Jesus and Mary Chain, NIN was so well received that people booed when JMC came on stage, they were so pissed they just turned the fog machines on 10, played about 6 songs and walked off stage. I don't think NIN continued on that tour.

That album still influences my guitar playing.

Yes, a very important record for me as well, though i was about 3 years late to the party.

Have you seen the Pitchfork review yet? They seem to think very highly of the reissue: http://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/14890-pretty-hate-machine/
