Re PPF RIP

Hi,

Right, PPF has gone out of production. Actually I put this forward through distribution system about a year ago and one more time about 6 months ago as parts were drying up so all orders could be sorted out.
The PPF has been since its introduction a fairly steady model in terms of orders, but the parts supply has dried more than once and finally to a point where sustaining production is not a valid option at this point.

I talked with Brad on the 5th of October and there has been a communication problem as it appears but everybody's beeing a good fellow and things shall be sorted out, though this may take a bit of patience.

According to the information I have had there should not be any orders as old as 24 months or even a year except for some custom things that are scheduled whenever they can be done.

Ah, it would appear http://www.thesegoto11.se has about three BJF pedals in stock as listed on frontpage, but yes it might be so that there are dealers with PPF's in stock: some dealers that have ordered PPF may still have something in stock. Information on that might be of interest for those looking for a PPF.

Maken Music in Chicago had at least one that was on the guitarhub tourbox.

Of the PPF's made this year I cannot tell where they went except for a few units, in fact I don't know the whereabouts of that many PPF's.

There are a few comparision samples that should be ready within the next day or so featuring comparisions with CAF,PPF and Fire Red Fuzz aswell as an Analog Man Sun Face for reference.
This will be posted at http://www.thesegoto11.se

All dealers have their own policy so it's best to ask what they can do for you and at what charge.

Have fun
BJ

BJ,

Thanks for the information on the PPF and you were correct. I went back and reviewed my records. It was indeed July of 2006 when I corresponded with Brad. Time certainly flies as I'm sure you will agree having just celebrated your 29th birthday!! I'm a little older and my memory is starting to play tricks on me!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, by the way, and thanks for ALL the great products!!

DChord,

I have dealt with Harri at Custom Sounds several times and, although the exchange rate isn't great, it is well worth it in my opinion. You are spared the VAT tax and they have a US conversion calculator built into their web site. Shipping is quick and the folks there are a pleasure to deal with!!

Update...www.thesegoto11.se has the CAF, EGDM, and RRB in stock if anyone is interested in any of those right now. I got a very prompt reply to my email this morning. No PPF's.

Regarding overseas ordering, I bought my CAF from Custom Sounds a couple of months ago and it actually wound up costing me slightly less than the BJF pedals I purchased recently from Make'n Music.

Thank you Cork.

Hehe, well now you see I have reach such an advandced older that I know the answer but unfortunately not the question..........but that's a minor detail and I might have some years to figure out some suitable questions.
