Hey Bill,
glad you like the Python reference in your PM.
I'm guessing the Black KnightImage like Brother Maynard Image also has a Model H.
So if you have a grey one-it's a Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch and the black one is "The Black Knight."
So what would that make the Donner boxed one??? Is that to be found in :study the Book of Armaments?

Nope- not custom. Its stock, but reportedly has a slightly diferent sound in the mids that may work better thru my setup.

I actually have one of the DonnerBox Model H as well and wanted to compare carefully the two. My amp has some problems with certain bright frequencies (SYOD was one case that didn't go well and CAF may be another as well). The DonnerBox has a sound sig that slightly different and somewhat brighter. So I wanted to have both and see which one suits best my rig. I have a feeling the newer ones would work well because of that so we'll see. I'll probably be selling my DonnerBox soon :)

Anyone know the SN where the voicing change occurred? I have a MH but am not sure if it's the "older" or "newer" voicing...

The boxing of the older ones is different. Check out the link to the pics I showed you. All greyish boxes probably have the newer voicing. The DOnnerBoxes look completely different.

Gotcha - I wasn't sure if the circuit change went along w/ the exterior finish change.

I have the gray typical BJFe non-custom shop one so I imagine it's the updated voicing.

Thanks for the response!
