Just managed to buy a HB dlx! Can't wait to play it. I have wanted one for ages. So I have a normal HB for sale if anyone is interested. It doesn't have the original bottom plate but sounds grrreat. I paid $340 plus post for it. I can't send it for another couple of weeks though as I am in Iraq on assignment. HB Dlx! Yay yay yay!! :P

Harri has me on the list as well. HBOD is such a useful circuit I can only imagine how stout the deluxe is!

when I have a new pedal to try or work in, I have to take something off - the HBD is usually the first one removed from consideration ; ] its just perfect at the end of the drives section. 8)

Honey Bee Deluxe has arrived. It is everything I hoped for. Much more gain available and the Baby Pink is just great. I think it has all I need in an overdrive so might even consider selling my SYOD!! I am not sure where the internal trimmer is set but with the gain all the way down I can get a very similar tone to my favorite low/medium gain Honey Bee setting which was at 12 o'clock on my standard Bee. Then turn up the gain with my toe and wahey!! Different to the SYOD in eq and not quite as dynamic but what a sound. The booster set at unity adds girth and depth. Totally awesome. I WILL do a clip. Hat off to ya BJ!

Hmmm..don't be so quick to off the SYOD--I won't selling mine. I did a quick demo myself of the Deluxe HB and the SYOD, and they are different complimentary animals--take a listen for yourself:

Please do a clip yourself--I'd be nice to have separate audio/video demo forum for this site(hint-hint Donner), so that it would encourage more to do so.

Mine arrived yesterday... slapped it on the board and hit rehearsal with it last night, without even trying it out first. Set the internall trimmer half way before leaving the house, hoping that would work for me..

Very very very nice. No big surprise there I guess right? heheh

The HB side rocked, never knew a HB could be such a mean bitchy beast. Also tried something I never really did with my non-DLX HB... ran it into my lead channel on my amp which was already cooking nicely. Saturated things super nicely for leads, and added the classic HB "feel" to it.

The BPB side, my my my.... i had no idea! Used this on its own to push the front end of the amp (on all channels) and :pedallove :pedallove :pedallove .

Looking forward to spending more time with it. Perhaps a demo as well :)

I have my internal trimmer set at half as well and its perfect. If I have the trimmer all the way up it almost has as much drive as my Model H. To me the HBOD DLX sounds bigger than my regular HBOD and I love the BPB side. Good score Bill.  Glad your enjoying your new pedal.

Can Bjorn make a regular HBOD with the trimmer? I don't have room for a deluxe, but with Strats having the more gain option would be very nice!
