to tell the truth, if there is any pedal that is worth $300-$400 it is the CAF...it is absolutley fantastic and I would never think about parting ways with it...it IS the fuzz that will be on my board for some time, it made me sell my big cheese...it is organic and wild, versatile, yet very very usable in almost any situations...I have even used it for a few jazz solos :) , also the nature control has countless voicings hidden inside every hair of a turn...i like to describe as a universe of fuzz in a small pretty box :D

I wonder what my CAF will look like. Anyone have a fairly new one that they can post a photo of?

Eddie is actually a really nice down to earth guy - its his son thats a bit 'distant', but thats a whole other story.....

Eddies used to be Metro , thats where I met Killer Vintage Dave and I also used to get used Way Huge pedals for under a $100 bucks there 8) after Guitar Center moved in they had to go upscale and did the Boutique boogie and changed the name to Eddies.....

But yeah Gravity is worth getting to know - Jimmy has Aquapuss #001 and they do excellent guitar work there and you may even see a few famous faces there occaisionally  , and Billy Barnett works there and gives lessons too .....

big fun !!

Hey Donner! I'd love to meet up sometime. I'm always up for live music or jamming or whatever. I'll send you a pm with my contact info.

Wow, #59, so the CAF is still pretty low in numbers, it sounds like. Neat.

Inspirations to the CAF

Postby BJF » Fri Sep 14, 2007 3:03 pm

Hi,

Two clips of Bob Hund and one of Bergman Rock featuring Johnny " The King of Cheese", master of getting useable tone outof horrible and upsetting fuzzes ;)
Note Johnny doesn't use CAF nor ever played one, but the CAF is a product of a conversation in the light rain on a springday, about what qualities would be useable in vintage fuzzes outside my workshop as I had five of his fuzzes in for service after a tour.

Enjoy, Johnny plays

Hi,

Ah, I'm not sure of the dates of these clips but the band under both names tour each year as they have for maybe twenty years. I would guess the Bergman Rock clip is fairly recent.

Have fun
