Just a couple of comments:

1) Holy crap!!

2) I think you'll need a looper..

3) Good luck with the order.....in classic Forrest Gump terms, there are a gozillion possible combinations......

4)...put the SBEQ last!!

very nice set up you have,,Im sure there are alot of great combos to be had.

As far as pedal order,,,I always liked the BPB at the very end of a long chain like that.

RRB and LRT also work nice before some drives.

just curious,,which ones make your gig rig??

Cool, thanks for the feedback! My band just ended, but at the time, I'd take along whatever I thought would work for the songs we were playing. The consistent must-take's were tuner, wah, BBOD, HB, DRD, Ram Head, Echo Clone, Box of Rock, and the Big Cheese. Oops, forgot the Klon.

As far as a looper goes, how does it work? I haven't done my research, but I've always thought loopers were so you could have pedals or no pedals. I always have pedals going...the SBEQ if nothing else, but usually some dirt and maybe something else depending on the song. Would a looper be useful in that context?

As far as the SBEQ, it is last (nearest amp). Or by last, do you mean nearest guitar? Thanks!

When I said you would need a looper, I was thinking of one like the Eeyore that Brad at Tonefactor makes. It enables you to connect a couple pedals in a "string" and select between two different "strings", if that makes any sense.

You can have multiple pedals "on" at the same time and deselect all of them simultaneously in lieu of one or multiple others. It's like having a couple of effects loops in the direct route to your amp.

It might keep you from "tap dancing" to select and deselect various combinations especially if you intend to use a lot of those in your gig rig!!

I think there are several places that make these devices and, in addition, some pedal boards can have them built in.

Generally, it is recommended that the EQ be closest to the amp but it, like the compressor, is another one of those things that can produce a very variable effect depending on position in the chain.

Good luck. I don't think you are going to have any problems getting a good sound.

Eskimo Joe: Are those tweed amps Victorias? I saw a blues/rockabilly band at my local pub recently and the guitarist was playing out of a Victoria combo w/a Fender reverb unit and it sounded incredible.

Thanks, that sounds cool! If I can find another band, I may have justify that expenditure.

Yes! It's a Victoria 35210 (tweed super) and a Reverberato. I fell in love with a real tweed super, couldn't afford it, and got the Vicky and it hasn't dissapointed. The more it gets played, dragged in and out of practice and gigs, the better she sounds.
