I think that it is human nature to want something that is no longer being made, but you are probably right that the production pedals are in production for a reason...they simply work well.

i think that one was my MOdel R.... was a great sounding pedal, just worth too much (and was covered by a few bases that i already had) i would have worked it into my rig if i didn't sell it so darned fast.... looks like he's getting more than he paid me on ebay though....

It's a bidding war, so it seems emotions and timing rule. Rare, but this is silly for a pedal you can still order...that being said, don't be surprised to see the BBOD the same seller has on auction, escalate past in the last hour.

The seller of the Model R and the BBOD are not the same, but, in reference to SteveA's post, the seller of the BBOD is also selling a HBOD and an EGDM (both of which are still currently at under $300!?!). I guess he either needs money badly or doesn't dig BJFE pedals; a pity, either way.

Right, my mistake on the sellers...so I think the seller with all three BJFs just has bad ears

I don't think the R can still be ordered...plus you don't see many for sale. But this one of out of my price range...

At the rate its going it'll probably over 800$ which I think is unheard of for a "normal" pedal (not a 2-stomp/deluxe version). Anyhow, someone wants it real bad.
