FWIW, those little yellow and green things on the pedal were little stickers and not paint at all (shamrocks and smiley faces to be exact)...but I didn't remove them cause I was scared that it would further damage the paint job. But none the less, i've been completely addicted to my CAF..what a cool pedal! I've been playing smashing pumpkins tunes non-stop since its arrived! Crazy high gain goodness!

you should have spent more time with the DRD....it is an AMAZING pedal that will REWARD you for the time you spend learning to dial it in 8)

i agree with you on the CAF -- it's AMAZING

will NEVER make that mistake again. between the DRD and the HBOD, those are two pedals that will stay with me for LIFE.

I probably should have gave it some more time...but I think it might have just come down to a distortion style/preference thing. The CAF was a pedal that I couldn't stop playing, but I just didn't have the same inital reaction to the DRD. How do you have your DRD set?

I remember that DRD. I had a chance to buy it a couple years ago from someone in the Pacific NW. Cant remember if it was Oregon or Washington.
Anyway, the reason I didn't buy it was because of the stickers so I bought one with the newer paint jobs. Bad move cuz the flat painted ones are coveted. Live and learn.

Welp, looks like the guy I traded that DRD to has it for sale right now on TGP Emporium. So you've got a second chance!

It appears the seller traded it toward a FEOTM.

I have had #214 now for several months and it took me no time to get use to the tone! It is absolutely smoking. My favorite BJFE so far. I also have a late model V2 BBOD which is super excellent and am on the hunt for a HBOD if anyone has a lead. I like the finish on the #214. The clovers and smileys give it a little extra something and it will be staying with me for the duration.

I'm glad that #214 found a good home! The DRD is a great pedal, Enjoy!

I was quite taken with bigbadpj's DRD which has a slightly different look to mine.

It seems to have less of a deep red colour and more of a copper colour or appearence.
No mistaking the tone of it as pure DRD,
but it's colour is really something special by comparison.
It's subtle, but I love the look of his-
definitely special/ unique. :D
