check out my pedalboard. my WIFE wired this up!

Postby Bobby D » Sat Dec 12, 2009 12:10 am

my wife susie is AWESOME.

i was having a hard time getting those solderless Lava Cable connectors on.

she got out HER toolkit, and within ten minutes built all the cables

so here's the current board. all that is missing is my snow white fuzz (currently on loan to another forum member)

i think she did a GREAT job on the cables. she's got some cable ties and was ready to tie everything down and make it neater, but i stopped her, since i change things around sometimes

lol......i have had endorsements before......but that is the FIRST "bobby d signature model" product of ANYTHING

behold the LAVA CABLE BOBBY D SIGNATURE MODEL CABLE

Lava Cable is going to be less than impressed that i needed my wife to wire up those connectors though

actually.....as my dad always said.....women make the BEST solderers. he used to hire LOTS of them for a military electronics facilty that built high tech microwave electronics. he said women had better attention to detail and did a better job of putting together electronics.

Susie did a GREAT job on wiring the board up!

i had to STOP her once she got out the cable ties, though

i still think i am gonna have to go to a bigger board......can't fit SBEQ and SWF on there.

and i want BOTH the CAF and SWF to be available to me, they sound so DIFFERENT.

i guess i could bump the SWAW off there, and use my regular wah.

i leave the SBEQ on my amp, since it is always on, and dialed in according to the venue and amp.

hmmmm.........trying to stay with a smaller board, and not end up with a big huge pedaltrain pro or something.

hey Bobby.

there are smaller pedal train boards available....i use one, i think it's called "junior"- You can fit two rows of pedals, its around the size of the board in your pics.
and, i can see Youre using HB after DRD?? i used that combo for two years, got great sounds out of it. i miss those sounds. and an Emerald Distortion....hehe i remember You said You couldnt bond with that one. finally got addicted?
EGDM is one of Bjorns most underrated, least talked about gems IMHO.

well...i know it is confusing......but that pedal is a PGC.

bjorn made it to LOOK LIKE the EGDM, since that was my very first BJF pedal that i had found used in a music store. for $75

i had NO IDEA what BJF was, and i bought it on instinct. something about it told me that it was GOOD.

it was #36 EGDM i think......and was made for scott ian of anthrax!

so when i ordered a pine green.......Bjorn made it the EMERALD GREEN COMPRESSOR MACHINE! it's very nice of him to remember that the EGDM was my first BJFe :D

but it confuses people.......
