hi there. one thing bout the SHOD, it definitely doesnt take away bass frequencies. (just like the BBOD). other great pedals, like the KOT or the Eternity, DO cut a little bass, not necessarily a bad thing. however for me retaining the bass is a good thing, since i don't boost already dirty sounds, i use clean amps for my basic sound. the honey bee is great for that, even made the coldest amp sound warm and rich. i will go on a 2 week tour on friday, and i'll see if the SHOD can do the same for me. like i said, with my setup here, its tonal heaven, and i'm curious how it gels with brighter amps. btw i did use it at regular 9v so far. i want to take only 2 dirt pedals and still wondering what else to take to drive the SHOD a little harder....hmm. BBOD or DRD i guess. LGW might be a perfect match too.... :roll

Thanks for the reply--I should be getting one in a week or two. Nice to hear it doesn't cut the low end. That 2 week tour will certainly put it through the paces. I had checked out the sound clips you made 'tween this and the HB--that's nice to have the direct comparison, and nice playing BTW.
Will have to do the same when I get the SHOD...and Bobby, lemme know how you make out on your gig--great timing on the pre-gig arrival. Don't you love when that s**t happens!

I got my SHOD today and have given it a quick go. The night is still young. Though I have to work of memory, I look forward to hearing / feeling how it compares to the Bee and Bee Deluxe I had (and miss).......

I've seen mention several times here of a "Deluxe" HB. I'm fairly new to the BJF world so pardon my ignorance - what is this?
