I would love a clean blend on the PGC

An external blending box could do this easily. It would be a basic FX loop with a parallel blend control and a bypass switch.

Would the Xotic X-Blender serve this purpose???? Just a thought......

That's a great idea... hadn't thought of it. That may be the way to go in the meantime.
