In case you guys didn't catch it over on The Gear Page, one of our BJF forum members, GDKing, has passed away.

I didn't know Gus personally, but am very saddened to report this. Please keep his family in your prayers. I know that he had posted here not too long ago.

Wow, very sad. Pancreatic cancer is a sonofabitch. I had a professor in grad school that was stricken by it. Such a shame.

Hi,

Thanks Doc,

I would have missed that at TGP.

As cheerful and enlightening as GD King was on this board and in any conversation I have had with him, he's a great loss to the community, but he must also have been a great friend to have, father and husband leaving to early.
His posts here and elsewhere will remain cheering up, as I would think memories of him with those that knew him more personally would also linger with cheering laughter.

There are few people you meet online that you also would not mind knowing and meeting in life while GD King was such a person.

My BJFE- Some special ones. Some standard ones. I love them all just the same.
