BBOD into DRD is the brown sound, nailed......loved the red white blue combo.

but being the BLUES DAWG that i am, i think the honeybee is gonna work out over the BBOD.

i kept thinking the honeybee would be more limited and narrow sounding than it actually is......that circuit is totally a winner, no wonder all you guys love them! 8)

i know, i know....for some reason i was resistant to try it. i think in some ways the marketing aspect of labeling it as the "small amp sound" is a double edged sword -- it made me LESS interested in hearing the pedal.

and to my ears, it doesn't sound too much like a maxed out champ or old supro. it does have some of those qualities, but not as much as i expected, which is GOOD for me.

it DOES have a very interesting circuit that operates and behaves much like a tube amplifier, and once i learn to tweak it a bit better, and maybe use EQ after it to notch that one frequency that sometimes annoys me, i can do something with this pedal 8)

baby pink is really quite a winner. and will come in handy a LOT.

it will be interesting to play this pedal and the new MP amber drive side by side.....

man, i enjoyed that clip! and ain't the BBOD>DRD stack amazing?? but-even better: the BBOD>amber drive, that one KILLED me 8)

and bout the HB: yea i herja! my experience with boutique amps doesnt go past 5 or 6 of them that i owned, but i got PLENTSYYY of experience in "dealing with fender twins and other backline amps". the HB never once failed me in providing the sweetest, honeydripping, dynamic, expensive-sounding blues tones, with any amp, be it the infamous RI or red knob twins, JCM 900 marshalls, or transistor amps. a true lifesaver, and thx to the nature knob it is capable of adapting to many situations.
we were touring with my Hammond trio and on a rehearsal the organ player tried the honey bee in front of his leslie. he wanted to buy it immediately!!

yep...i am finding that the honeybee is one of those pedals that does not instantly HIT YOU over the HEAD like a DRD does.....

but many of the really really good pedals are subtle at first...and after playing the HB through a JC-120, it sold me.

having the deluxe is sort of "plush" for a working dog guitarist like myself, but the baby pink is VERY useful, and the price of the deluxe was just about the same as buying both pedals individually, so i managed to convince myself
