hmmmm are they built all the way thru by one person or is there a 'line' where each person does one thing ??? or a combination

Also what the part of the process you look forward too the most and the thing you dread the most

Does a person build just one model or are the Vs and SGs built by ohter lines/builders???

its a line with different build departments, thou there is some elitest that get to build from scratch to setup, ususally Artist and peeps with some serious loose coin to pop on a guitar, it does happen time to time. But mostly it is Point A to To Z. I Like build/setup... I give it life. I dread buffing and neck prep, but I will do it if needed and I'm the last mofo to do so ;) all is built by all for the most part. but........ I did end up building most of the Zak V's... for some reason the other builders would avoid them... I didnt mind.

Pics of my guitar forthcoming...I'm out-of-town at the moment....

Doc :D

P.S. It's a plain top guitar, no fancy schmancy flames ... in case that's what folks are looking for. The guitar looks cool, but it's very understated. I love it for the tone and playability first and foremost. This thing is a freakin' weapon.

Ok, for cork, EJ, etc....whomever was curious about my Les Paul....

This is a ***ROUGH*** clip that my band did in the studio about a month ago. We are called Resurrection Larry, and we're in the Chicago area. This is my all-originals band, which is what I do in addition to the regular, working cover band I play in. Resurrection Larry is a four-piece, consisting of vocals/keys, drums, bass, and guitar (me).

We're getting ready to shoot a promo video, and this was just a rough, one-take thing that we did to get used to the idea of videotaping ourselves. We're just in plain street clothes, etc....it was really informal and kinda spur-of-the-moment. It was the first time we'd played together in months, and this was our warm-up song. It's called "Last Mistake in Love," and it's the song we open our set with live. It starts with a little instrumental intro, and then goes on to the song. There's quite a bit of compression from converting this to a YouTube-friendly, uploadable file...it sounded much better on the TV set in the studio. I normally wouldn't post something so unpolished, but hey ... we're all friends here, right? There are a few clams and assorted mistakes in there, but not too terribly bad. It was done with a direct audio feed from the board to the digital camcorder we used. The mix could have been better, as the keys and vocals aren't quite loud enough. The guitar is also probably a bit too loud, but at least you'll hear it.

So these aren't close-up, hi-res pics ... but at least you can see the guitar and hear what it sounds like.

Have fun

P.S. Yes, Eskimo Joe should save up for a Les Paul IMHO.

Thanks for the good words, my man. Yeah, I guess I'm probably my own worst critic. But I'm always striving to do better. I'm happy with my recorded sound, though I still think it sounds better live when you can actually feel the air being pushed.

Anyway, glad you liked!

Thanks!

The pedals are a stack: Lovekraft Mojodrive > BJF DAOD (SYOD). This was my base sound, with BJF BPB punched in for the solo. Also, any delay you hear is from the MP DBD, which is last in my signal chain. So it's Guitar > Mojodrive > SYOD > BPB > DBD > Amp for this particular track.

The amp is a TopHat King Royale head through a Port City Wave 2x12 cab with Avatar Hellatone 30's (Celestion G12H30's).

Nice playing DOCROCK sir.
LP really sounds nice!!

I am trying to save up to get a new guitar and Amp, but for some reason it's not happning...
I can't let go of my pedals, so I guess I have to be patient.
I always had a thing for Gibson LP, I want one of those flame top Sunburst finsh...
I've seen SG with worn-out cherry finish with trem from custom shop at the local Guitar center, that was really nice too.
I am just dreaming....
