Really, about the Model H? I disagree. I don't think that the H is solely or explicitly designed to be a face melter, necessarily. But I do think it's an extremely versatile pedal that can be dialed in to do a number of different things...one of them being face melting, LOL. But I remember playing thru your Model H proto last summer, and I was able to dial in an absolutely ferocious lead guitar tone, stronger and angrier than I've ever gotten from another BJF pedal. There was absolutely nothing polite about that sound when I was done twiddling the knobs. It was like the "CAF of distortions."

Anyhow, we all hear things differently....

Ha well I think a good part of the melting was coming from someones 100 Hiwatt in a small room :D ...but the pedal does roar nicely and dynamically

LOL

I would if I still had it. I actually ended up selling it because it was just too much amp volume-wise for my gigging situation. The biggest rooms I play are for about 1000 people. I think that, until I start playing arenas, I probably don't need a Hiwatt.

I have since paired down to a nice, manageable 35 watts from a TopHat King Royale head. I was able to pay for it with the money I got from the sale of the Hiwatt, so it was even all the way ... always nice when that happens.

That said, I'd still be most interested to hear what the H would sound like thru the KR. I really loved the Hiwatt strength and aggression ... it's just that in order to get that feel from the actual Hiwatt amp, the volume point was just way too high. Turned down, it just started to sound stiff and lifeless. If the Model H into the TopHat could give me that response which the real Hiwatt gave me, but at a manageable volume, I would be utterly thrilled!
