It's another 2 person group, sort of like the Stripes with a bit of an almost Hendrix edge to them. 2 people who walk up on stage and are capable of just rocking your face off at any moment Album to get is Magic Potion. Their new album, Attack & Release, is coming out 4/1, can't wait!!! It has songs that they were writing for Ike Turner before he died, so I'm pretty interested to hear the vibe.
Next band to check out if you like 70's rock would be Year Long Disaster. So who would of thunk it....the Kinks' Dave Davies has a son Daniel Davies and he grows up to be a sick rock guitarist! Year Long Disaster's 1st and only album is self-titled and definitely worth checking out.
Another pretty cool rock band is Rose Hill Drive. They are a power trio of young heads from Colorado reminiscent of some of the other old school amazing power trios. They're not on the level of those legendary power trios, but they're still pretty young, so I wouldn't be surprised if they get there. They are good enough that Pete Townsend said he loves their sound and asked them to tour with the Who.
I pretty much am always searching for new and interesting music, so there's plenty more suggestions where those came from. That's a good start though

On the Crowes new album I wonder if Mr. Robinson producing Gary Louris new (only) solo album had any cross effect ???
(actually this would be good stuff on TonePost )
