I just killed my 4th generic two stomp footswitch!

So, I am modding them where the footswitch box will have a hardwired stereo output jack and I will make 3 or 4 stereo cables, of different lengths, that will be independent of the footswitch. I can then leave the short one at home and have a longer one for jam sessions that I keep packed in the pouch of my amp cover or backpack. The trouble is finding quality 3 conductor wire (shielding optional) that I can buy 100' of and not 500'!

Does anyone have a source for such a cable that can take a bit of abuse? Anyone want to go in on a 500' spool?

Thanks!

I found a place that sells 100' Microphone cables in cool colored covers. I like to have different color cables so I know what is where. I cut one end off and counted out around 22 feet and clipped it again. I soldered two right angle stereo jacks and all is good. I converted the box with the switches on to have a stereo 1/4" out.

The interesting thing is all 4 of the foot switches I went through always made a loud pop when turning on the tremolo. With my new system there is no pop!
