Burning Tree - really good music

I think we may have discussed this before, but...

Back in 1992 (I think), I went to see the Black Crowes at a really cool venue called The Boathouse in Norfolk, Va. Before going, a friend told me that I had to make sure I got there for the opening act. He said this band called Burning Tree was playing and that he thought they would be the real show of the night.

Anyhow, I got there and, to this day, the performance of Marc Ford and his two bandmates sticks out as one of my all time favorite concert moments. They were on fire and gave a very Hendrix experience kind of show.

They only had one album (as far as I know) and Marc left to join the Black Crowes shortly after, but to this day, I still listen to that album and don't think there's a bad song on it.

I've heard that Marc might lurk around here from time to time, if you are out there, bravo good man!

If you have never heard any of this album, download "Turtle" or "Playing in the Wind" or really anything else for some cool food for the ears.
