How would you secure your BJFE pedals to your Pedalboard?

Hey All!
After looking at many pictures of different BJFE pedals that I've inquired about before buying, I've noticed one thing.
Many of them do not even have velcro on it, they still have the feet attached!
I'm not sure if they haven't been gigged with etc. but I always wanted to keep my pedals in the best condition possible while still being able to use them during service and at gigs.
Especially with the older paint (nitrocellulose is it? Not sure how to spell!), it comes off so easily and when you velcro it, sooner or later in the far future the paint is bound to come out. It happened to my old DRD.
Was just wondering, is there a better way to secure your more precious BJFE pedals to your board?
Any comments or advice is very much appreciated. God Bless!

I do not store mine on my board, but if I did, I would use "bear bottoms" (basically an unfinished bottom used in place of the permanent one). Then you can apply velcro on the bear bottom to save the paint on the finished one. They can be ordered from various sites. There should be a link to the thread on this forum if you type "bear bottom" in the search. Also, check out the BearfootFX site for info.
Glad to hear another church player using BJFE goodness. I am sure God's ears are thankful.

Cheers.

What Rockeroo said. There is a thread around here on the exact size bottom to get from Small Bear Electronics and you can also purchase them from Donner at Bearfoot.com (I think that is the addy).
Many of mine came with velcro on them, so depending on the condition of the velcro I would either leave it or put on a bare bottom with the industrial velcro (not the locking stuff!). BJFE pedals are really heavy and it is best to get the good stuff! Also, the paint is tricky and if you put velcro on it directly you might move the pedal off your board and the velcro will stay on the board not the pedal!

When I apply velcro to the pedal I use two fairly narrow strips and wrap them over the edge of the back plate (just a few mm) so the screwed-on plate holds the velcro fast, rather than just the adhesive.
Somewhere in the archives I believe Bjorn suggests this.

This "diaper" method is what I used to use, as well... Now, I just use bicycle chain links to screw the pedals down. That way, nobody can rip them from my board during a gig. Except maybe a gorilla! With both methods, I've been able to leave the original bottoms and feet on the pedal and not spend money needlessly on extra bottoms.

I use velcro. I bought it to play, not for it to sit there and look pretty.
If i sell it, i take a hit on the price. Honestly I find it a bit ridiculous to try and sell something for what I payed it for when I've been using it, and is certainly not new(exception being a general price raising all together due to lack of availability i.e. sold my pine green for close to 600 when i payed significantly less a year or so before).
Point is, it's something in which the inherent design requires you to step on it. I'm not going to get torn up about some paint going missing on the bottom so that it stays attached to my board.
